6/16/05 News IT'S A BOY!!!!! Robert William Becker IV was born June 16th at 11:54 He is 7 lbs 12 oz, and 20 inches long See the Baby pictures tab for pictures of the new member of the family Mother is doing fine. Little Rob inhaled some fluid while coming into this world. He is fine, but he is in the ICU while they are giving him antibiotics to prevent pneumonia. There is no infection and he is getting better by the hour. The antibiotics have to be administered for 3 days. We expect to take him home in 3-5 days. There should be no long term effects from this problem and he is an otherwise strong healthy baby. 6/28/05 News Rob is Now RJ....Too many Robs, Bobs and Roberts running around in the family and elsewhere. Robert Junior (RJ) He came home on 6/20/05 and is doing GREAT! He has no lingering effects from the first day trauma. Cindy is recovering well from the surgery. We are both doing fine except for lack of sleep. Due to popular demand and lots of bugging, there are now new pictures of him posted on the baby tab. Enjoy...we are. 7/22/05 News RJ is 5 weeks old now. He had his Baptism on July 17th. It was Beautiful. Thanks to everyone who came to share his day at the church and at the wonderful reception at Chef Alan's Bistro. Also, thanks for all the gifts for him! Everyone has been so generous! He visited the Doctor for a checkup on July 21st. He is healthy and strong and growing. He is now 10 lbs 5oz and 22 inches long. That means he has gained almost 3 lbs and 2 inches! There are two new galleries of him up on the baby pictures tab ("Some Firsts" and "Baptism"). I've archived some of his first picture, but they are still accessible. I'll be trying to update the site more often, but he keeps us busy....
9/2/05 News RJ is 11 weeks old now. Time really flies. He is smiling on a fairly regular basis now. We haven't been able to get a picture of that yet. That is our goal before the next update. He loves his nursery and is constantly looking at the pictures on the walls. Last week he was measured at 12 lbs 12 oz, and 24 inches. We have added some new pictures that have been taken over the past several weeks. We recently got cameras in our phones, this helps us ensure that we don't miss anything, but the quality of pictures taken with the phones won't be as nice as those taken with the camera. Enjoy.
